Mild Productions have produced two documentary films which have been broadcast on national tv:
• ‘Music of Asia’ (70 minutes)
• ‘My Images of Asia’ (40 minutes)

Presently we are working on:
• a documentary production about dreams and creativity, and
• a film about Indian culture and Ashrams.

• A 58-minutes documentary about DR Big Band’s tour in Cuba in 2006
• A film about our party planet
• A film about Denmark seen through Australian eyes

DVD and CD-R

Would you like to turn your video material into a transportable format which is easy and cheap to multiply and distribute? Then DVD is the answer.

Mild Productions DVDs and CD-Rs:
• In september 2004, we produced a DVD for the Danish Center for Culture and Development about the Images festivals, entitled ‘Images of the festivals’. It contains nine small presentation videos of approximately 3-4 minutes each.
• Produced a CD-R for DCCD with similar content
• Produced a CD-R with four music videos for Gudrun Holck

Radio programmes

Mik Aidt has 15 years of experience as a presenter and producer in the Danish Broadcasting Corporation. In the 1990ies, he was the host of the P3 evening show ‘Verdensmusik’ – among many other programmes.

Mik's latest radio production:
• A three-hour ‘theme Sunday’ on DR P2 about dreams and creativity in March 2005
• Half-hour programmes portraying artists such as Anders Blichfeldt (DR Big Band / Big Fat Snake), Olsen Brothers, and Amin Jensen.

Books and magazines

The first book which has been produced and will be published by Mild Productions is ‘Mush’. Read more about it here.

As a layouter and organiser, Mik has published a number of books – among those Abdul Kadir Konuk's “Opløsning” which is about torture in Turkey.

As an editor, Mik has edited and published
• more that 50 issues of the magazine Djembe. 52-80 pages per issue.
• In the summer 2003, he produced an issue of Kontakt for MS. 52 pages
• In the summer 2004, he produced a special Jubilee Issue about the Danish Radio Big Band. 60 pages.

• "Verdensmusik" – et foredrag om begrebet ‘world music’ eller ‘verdensmusik’. Verdensmusikkens historie gennem de sidste 200 år. Hvilke genrer og hvilke kunstnere er de vigtigste at kende i dag? Musikeksempler og anekdoter. Få indsigt i de globale sammenhænge i musikkens verden.

• "Afrikanernes nøgle til fremtiden" – et foredrag om afrikansk kultur. Hvor er de afgørende forskelle mellem danskernes og afrikanernes måde at tænke på? Hvad kan vi lære af afrikanere? For nok er der fattigdom i Afrika, men der er også utroligt meget rigdom – rigdom på samvær, familiesammenhold, livsglæde og godt humør, kulturtraditioner og ikke mindst: tid. Altsammen statistiske mangelvarer i det vestlige samfund.

• "På opgave i Afrika". Hvad du har brug for at vide, hvis du skal på reportagerejse eller udsendes som projektarbejder i Afrika? Om AV-midler (dias, powerpoint, video, internet) og ikke mindst lyden, der ofte behandles som stedbarn i de elektroniske medier. Men også om kulturelle forhold og "fælder". Specielt rettet mod Danidas rejsestipendiater og udsendte for MS, Danida og FN.

• "Afrikas musik". Et diasshow – eller rettere: en "illustreret radiomontage", hvor studieværten og to musikere oven i købet er til stede i lokalet. Ved at vise, hvordan folk i Afrika lever og udtrykker sig gennem deres musik, introduceres publikum samtidigt for nogle af de stærke afrikanske kulturtræk, som kan vende op og ned på en danskers tilværelse.


Foredragene
henvender sig til gymnasie-niveau og op. Såvel foredrag som dias- og powerpoint-shows kan tilpasses målgruppe og situation, og kan kombineres med workshops og optræden.

Mik Aidt
er musiker og uddannet journalist med over 25 års engagement i afrikansk kultur og musik, samt musik fra Asien og Latinamerika. Har foretaget i alt 16 rejser til Afrika, de fleste udsendt som journalist for enten DR eller Danida. Var i syv år fastansat på P3, hvor han bl.a. i en årrække var redaktør på programmet "Verdensmusik" og "Global Beat". Sad i seks år i bestyrelsen for Center for Kultur og Udvikling. I dag freelancer og desuden på 15. år redaktør af musikmagasinet "Djembe".

Conferences and festivals

Organising events is not a working field at Mild Productions. It is a life style!

• For the Danish Center for Culture and Development, Mik Aidt organised a one day symposium in Hanoi in October 2004, which was attended by 70 people and the Danish Minister of Foreign Affairs among the speakers.

• Mik was a co-director of the Radio Days 04 conference, and assisted with the Radio Days 05.

• Co-organised the ‘Communicating Cultural Africa’ conference in Copenhagen

• Has been in the board of the Danish Center for Culture and Development for six years, while the center organised two Images festivals

• Worked as press officer at the Images of the Middle East festival in 2006
